New Year Message for Fellow Marista Educators

As the curtain closes on a year fraught with trials, let us not dwell on the shadows, but rather bask in the light of lessons learned and triumphs we have achieved.

Like St. Marcellin Champagnat, who led his flock through adversity with a shepherd's heart and a burning torch of education, we too have overcome, emerging stronger, wiser, and ever more devoted to our Marist mission.

But our journey, my dear friends and colleagues, is far from over. The second semester unfolds before us, promising fresh challenges and the boundless potential for growth. And in this endeavor, we stand not as individuals, but as a united #kapitBCg family.

To the faculty, whose tireless dedication sculpts young minds, to the adjuncts who bring their unique brilliance to our classrooms, and to the acads & admin team, who ensure our ship stays steady--- my deepest gratitude.

In the days ahead, let us be guided by the spirit of St. Marcellin. Let his humility be our compass, his faith and his love for education the wind that propels us forward.

Together,
let us create a learning haven where students blossom, where they feel seen, heard and loved, where dreams take flight, and the marista flame burns ever brighter.

May this New Year be a testament to our collective passion, may our efforts bear fruit a hundredfold. I am yours, with heartfelt appreciation.

All of these are essential to your development... few days to highlight some path to building your social and emotional skills. Being in the 3rd place is sad if your perspective of winning is "limited" .

You may be heartbroken at first, but then eventually you'd look back with pride all you have done, all you have accomplished in the most peaceful manner possible.

For truly, life is not always about being the 1st... each will have its time. They're having theirs now like when you had it before and we can only be happy for them because all the games (literally and figuratively) were well-played... the acceptance, and hope and the lessons learned will shape not only your character but also those who would walk in your footsteps.

You have excelled in your own right, in your own pace and prepare you to not only excel in university tasks, but more importantly, excel in life.

I salute you dear leaders for being man (woman) enough to accept the responsibility of the loss (no blame games), for bowing out gracefully (with dignity in tact) and most of all, for acknowledging the winner (not showing disgust nor sulking away)... being able to control your feelings in moments like this is a mark of true strength and perspective.

Here we bow and vow to move on and fill our days with new pursuits (1st NDEA Business Congress?). Again, WE WON! SALAMAT SA INYO.
